Reportable Infectious Diseases and What You Should Know:

In the state of Connecticut, the Department of Public Health (DPH) and local health departments conduct infectious disease investigations. Central Connecticut Health District is reponsible for the investigation and or surveillance of the following diseases:

Foodborne: 

Hepatitis:      

   Sexually Transmitted:

At CCHD, the health director, epidemiologist, public health nurse, and sanitarians (or Yale’s FoodNet) will perform investigations and disease follow-up.

The Connecticut DPH in conjunction with CCHD will conduct investigations on the following:

All other reportable diseases will be investigated by DPH staff.
