Visit with a Nurse

Through a contract with Visiting Nurse and Home Care, Inc., and the Berlin Visiting Nurse Association, the District provides residents age 60+ the opportunity to visit with a nurse to discuss any health related issues. The nurse can provide blood pressure checks, information and counseling on diabetes, cholesterol, exercise, stress management, weight management, fall prevention, and medication concerns. There is no charge to the participant and no appointment is necessary. Clinics are held once a week at the Rocky Hill Community Center and Berlin Senior Center and once a month at the Wethersfield Community Center, Nathan Hale Housing and First Church Village in Wethersfield. Effective July 1, 2006 the Health District subsidizes the same services weekly in Newington at the Newington Senior and Disabled Center.
